The last elections for the student union of this kind – Vote 7 & 8 Nov

WHERE AND HOW CAN YOU VOTE?

It’s again possible to vote in the representative elections. The official polling days are 7 Nov (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.) & 8 Nov (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.). To vote, you need a basic user account of the University of Tampere. https://vaalit.uta.fi/voting/login.do?lang=en

There are also pop-up voting stations at the University of Tampere. If you cast your vote there, you’ll get a ticket for a free bun and a cool badge for overalls. (There is a limited amount of both, though.)

You can search for a suitable candidate here: https://tamy.fi/en/student-union/representative-elections/candidates and fill out a voting aid application here: https://tamy.fi/en/student-union/representative-elections/voting-aid-application.

WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE?

The last Council of Representatives has an important task ahead. It should build a stable foundation for a new student union that will be formed in the beginning of 2019. In the end, it is all in the hands of the Council of Representatives that will be elected now. The 40 representatives elected this autumn are ready to make an effort so that also your studies would go along well. The Student Union will focus on different things depending on who will be elected to the council.
