Services for members
International students have a possibility to borrow basic kitchenware, such as spoons, forks, knives and plates, at a reasonable price. If you don’t want to buy your own kitchenware, Starting Kit is for you!
The Starting Kit is a member service. In case you belong to a student category for whom the membership is voluntary (exchange and visiting students, post-graduate (doctoral) students), please be prepared to prove your membership. Before you have received your student card you can simply display the receipt from the payment of the membership fee when collecting the Kit.
There is a limited number of Starting Kits available on a first come, first served principle. You can borrow a Starting Kit for one year for a €20 fee in cash. When you return your kit to the Student Union clean and undamaged, you will receive €17 back. Starting Kits can be picked up from the Tamy office. They cannot be reserved in advance.
Starting Kits consist of donated second-hand kitchenware in a fairly good condition.
The Kit includes:
- 1 sauce pan or a frying pan
- 1 big plate
- 2 small plates
- 1 soup plate
- 2 mugs
- 2 glasses
- forks, knives, small and big spoons (2 each)
- 1 cutting knife
- 1 spatula
Please also mind the opening times of the office (see main page) and follow the Facebook group Tamy’s International Students for additional information on the Starting Kit service hours.
